Delusional Perception

I think I’ve become delusional.I no longer see reality for what it truly is.Maybe I’ve built a world of my own,where my thoughts become truthand my perception becomes reality.

I live inside my own worldthinking about my plans,my interests,my ambitions,the future I want to create.

But sometimes I wonder…

Does that make me selfish?

Am I selfish for choosing myselfin my own life?For protecting what I’ve built?For putting my own dreams beforethe expectations of others?

Maybe choosing yourselfwill always look selfishfrom someone else’s perspective.

But how can I be selfishfor choosing the one personwho truly understands me?The one person I can trust.The one person I know I can rely onas long as I live.

Maybe that person is not someone else.

Maybe it has always been me.

But if I am the only onewho can truly see the world through my eyes,how do I knowthat what I seeis actually real?

Maybe my perception is distorted.Maybe my reality is a delusion.

Or maybe this is simplythe world as I have learned to see it.

And if I can no longer tellthe difference betweenwhat is realand what I believe to be real…

which oneis truly mine?
