Useless Eyes

There are many people who are blind,yet have perfectly good eyes.

Perhaps I am one of them.

Sometimes, we choose not to see.Not because our eyes fail us,but because our feelings decide what we are willing to see.

Emotion can cloud perception.Memory can distort the truth.And sometimes, the things we believe to be realare only reflections of what we carry within.

So I wonder

How do I see the world clearly?

Do I have to live without feelings?Without emotion?Would clarity mean becoming numb?

And if emotions are what make us human,should we even want to see without them?

Perhaps we were never meant to see the whole picture.

Perhaps every emotion, every memory,every fear and desireplaces another layer between us and reality.

Perhaps emotions are not what prevents us from seeing reality,but what makes reality ours.

So the question remains

Would seeing everything clearly mean losingthe very things that make us feel alive?

Maybe blindness isn’t the inability to see.Maybe it’s seeing only what we are ready to accept.
